I just spend 5 days playing in Vegas and I am here to proclaim 70's & 80's Disco is in Vogue.
Whether it's the original tracks or a funked up Jackin House mush-up, young and old are filling the floors. I'm a big fan of the new remixes of the original 70's disco I loved as a kid. We can see from NYC to LA that 80's fashion with some punk emerging. I was sent a few promos of some 80's dance/hip-hop remixes' and they are sounding so fresh.
Here we have almost 2 and 1/2 hours of a mixed genre episode. We start with a sweet remix of
a fav of mine, I also work it back in when I merge into the 80's inspired remixes and some deep and progressive house and trance. Then just to remind everyone, I can still fill the floor with good fresh dance music, but I work it my way.
Hope you enjoy Part 5, let me hear from you, I love your comments. Pease, Love and Dance!

Part 4 should be welcome to my fun House. I was on the right coast last week and got to spend 2 days in Manhattan. It’s been a while, but the energy of NYC hit me coming off the plane. Being in the City, remembering the sights, smells, noise from my early days had an awesome effect on me.
And the music, oh so many places to visit, getting promos as I go. I love Manhattan, but I am a true blooded Southern dude who went left than up 95N and now, living life in Los Angeles for many years.

The effect NYC had was one of memories of some of the best times of my youth. I was bi-coastal, so I could breathe in the vast differences of SF, NYC and LA. Having spent time in all these cities as a “club kid”, going to Tunnel, Twilo, the music and DJ’s inspired me so. I’m still digging that re-funkdified disco of the 70’s and the mush-up’s of the 80”s and 90’s top dance hits. I start off imagining I am walking into rooms in a house. The 1st room has a good and steady beat with some very cool re-does of past songs. It really got my juices flowing; I peak at exactly 1 hour into the mix, and stay hard at 128 BPM’s for over an hour. If you can get that heart rate to match, you are busting your ass. I send out props in this hour to the sexy DJ Phil B in SF for his remix “Never Give up” such an awesome track.
We are still rolling along after an hour plus of great house music, some old, some new. I got to really play around with this episode. After 2 hours I bring us on a roller coaster ride of old and new progressive and we enter another room where you can see the party pro’s are at. I raise my eyes, hands and heart are delivering an OMG splash of dear Whitney, and may she RIP. We come to a slow cruising speed and end with some progressive vocals fitting for the party people at 3AM. I really hope you enjoy part 4, I had an incredible time mixing it and it’s as close to a live performance that I have ever been able to lay on podcast.

As an artist I feel that sometimes you have to lose yourself to find yourself. Part 3 in this series of Podcasts proves it. I was listening to Sirius/XM’s “STUDIO 54” station and I was only a teenager when disco ruled and the discotique was the place.
However, it did make a major impression on me and what would become a passion and career.
This podcast was a awesome experience for me. Instead of having the latest hot tracks, picking and placing the right songs to make the mix, I allowed myself to be free, experiment and go with the beat of my soul. I went to my roots, house and all the diverse sub-genre’s that makes House Music so great and just let the magic flow.
I hope when you listen to this podcast it will touch your soul and allow yourself to free yourself, lose yourself. If only for 90 minutes. Peace, love and Dance your ass off!

This session has a very special place in my heart. Not because I released it on Valentine ’s Day, but we lost someone very influential to me from the age of 5 to now. I can remember from a early age watching and dancing with my mom every Saturday to American Band Stand and SOUL TRAIN! Yes
every weekend my mom would put on Soul Train on the TV and a different kinda music from American Band Stand played. It was Soul, and the man Don Cornelius introduced me to soul music and I loved it.
Yes Dick Clark was just as good, but Soul Train and Don was something this southern boy had never seen or heard. That sound that makes you wanna move your body and connects to your soul. So, I give you The DJ and The Dance Floor Part 2, a soulful romp in house music that has you grooving and moving for 2 hours. This is for fans around my age because the songs I bring alive again are forever favorites of mine. But, you young fans, it will give you a lesson in soul music and how important it is yesterday, today and forever. As DC would end it, I wish you Peace, Love & Soul!! Enjoy

The DJ and The Dance Floor Part 1
As I look back at 2011, I can say it was an awesome year. I managed to hit some career milestones, my series “Evolution of a DJ” got some great play and comments. What I felt in reading the comments was the fans were grateful for exploring the genre’s with me. It added a nice touch to be able to expose all to the variety’s of Dance Music in the market. However, the highlight for me was to have my remix of Clint Crisher’s “STICKY” produced and distributed in 73 countries. For a DJ remixing is very fun and rewarding. Not in money, but to take a basic track from and artist and create a totally new Track where you become the artist. Having your final product and playing it for the artist and watch their reaction is awesome. So, Thanks to Clint and Jason for giving me the opportunity. I closed 2011 in Las Vegas and welcomed in 2012 with 2 wishes. 1 is to finally complete and produce my CD “Embryo” it has been 2 years in the making. Now it’s time to complete the 3 tracks needed. Second was a realization that I had
while watching thousands of people dance the night away. I really miss spinning in small clubs and underground raves and parties. I have always been a House DJ. It’s in my blood and now the diverse types of house music it is truly my passion and my favorite genre to listen to and spin. So, 2012 is the year of House for this DJ. My first podcast for 2012 is a 2:30 minute voyage into House. You will find I start with some classic vocal house. The I pull the BPM’s up and work some Jackin House that will have you jumping. The last 30 mins is a cruise to deep and progressive house and I end Part 1 with a very deep progressive track a perfect place to pick-up Part 2. I hope you enjoy my new sound and vibe!
